What you are booking

The monthly service is QuickBooks Online bookkeeping for insurance agency owners. It includes bank reconciliation, expense categorization, payroll entries, a monthly profit and loss, a balance sheet, and cash flow reporting. Fixed monthly pricing ranges from $299 to $499 per month, based on the agency's size and complexity. There is no hourly billing. You know the fee before the work starts. Payment is by credit card or ACH.

State Farm agents are the specialty. The firm also works with Allstate agents, Farmers agents, and independent agency owners, including multi-location agencies. Trident does not prepare or file tax returns, does not sell insurance, and does not offer hourly bookkeeping. More background is on the about page.

After the call

If the engagement is a fit, the next step is setting up the books: a chart of accounts for the agency and a clean starting point in QuickBooks Online. From then on, monthly reports are part of the ongoing service, and the agency owner can stay focused on selling.
